Cerro Santa inés
Santa Inés Hill
Hello, this time I will tell you about the beautiful Santa
Ines hill
The Santa Inés Hill is an elevation of 689 msnm that is part of
the Cordillera de la Costa Chilean. It is located in front of the bay of
Pichidangui.
Its importance is mainly due to the presence of a relict forest of olivillo.
The importance of
this place is that it presents characteristics of high endemism of the vegetal
communities present in this relict forest, as well as the way in which they
obtain a natural gain of water resources from the coastal fog, are similar to
the well-known forest phenomenon Of Fog of the National Park Fray Jorge, with
which it is usually compared to him.
Apart from the olivillo that dominates a floristic landscape
similar to the Valdivian forest, there have been described here about two
hundred species with a high proportion of endemism, in many cases very
vulnerable and several in serious danger of extinction.
I hope you are well and hopefully you will know this beautiful place.
Take care of him a lot!
See you
